JAMMU, Jan 7: K K. Sharma, OSD & Secretary designate in Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, today visited the Temporary Academic Block (TAB) of Central University of Jammu for seeking an update of the ongoing works and appraisal of the working status of Central University of Jammu.
The Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Jammu, Prof Ashok Aima made a power point presentation and apprised him about the ongoing construction, achievements in academic and research, status of intake of students and faculty etc. He highlighted that the students and teachers represent 17 States of the country reflecting the national character of the Central University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, K.K. Sharma laid stress o integration of skill development in education for capacity building and research. He further said that sense of accountability is essential for all to achieve comprehensive development of university system.
He also interacted with the teaching and non-teachings staff of CUJ. During this interaction all the Head & Deans of various departments and members of non-teachings were also present on this occasion.
Sharma was accompanied by Prof Ajit Angral, Nodal Principal of Science College.
