SC/ST/OBCs Confederation condemns Vaidya’s statement

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 24: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations held a meeting today under the chairmanship of   its State president R K Kalsotra in which executive members from district and tehsil units participated.
Executive members discussed the statement  made by RSS spokesperson Mohan Vaidya regarding review of reservation provisions for its stoppage as according to him more reservation has been granted.
Speakers expressed anguish over his statement because reservation is not yet fully implemented. Out of 49.5% reservation,  only 13% is implemented. While addressing the meeting the Confederation State president stated that it is calculated statement of RSS. They never wanted review of reservation for its full implementation. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh should depict its national character and demand review of sufferings of down trodden SCs/STs/OBCs who are having no source of living, no land, no business, no trade, no industry and total poor and backward living conditions. RSS should demand review of poverty elevations programmes, which have not helped the poor SCs/STs/OBCs, demanded the Confederation leader.
Kalsotra further condemned Vaidya’s statement of misquoting Baba Sahib Dr B R Ambedkar that reservation is time-frame whereas it has representation in governance of the affairs of the State and cannot be stopped. To further strengthen the Confederation movement, District/Tehsil level meetings to protect and full implementation of Reservation will be held, he added.
Others who spoke in the meeting were Ch Mohd Shafi, Dina Nath, Ramesh Kaith, Amir-ud-Din Kasana, Roshan Choudhry,  Mushtaq Ahmed Kohli, Sanjay Radha,  A N Bhagat, Mohan Lal, Mohd  Younas, Sunil Chakaria, Girdhri Lal Bhagat, Yassar Khan, Ajeet Kumar,Rattan Lal Bhagat, Ashok Kumar and Ramesh Bitty.
