JAMMU, Oct 31: Former Minister and BJP MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) today kick started construction work of nallah and deep drain in Lane No. 1, Shiv Nagar of Ward No. 33 of Jammu West Assembly Constituency. Besides, officials of UEED Department residents of the area, social and political activists were also present on the occasion.
The MLA said the works include covering of nullah by RC slab and it will be constructed under the supervision of UEED at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh under which sixty meters of nallah will be covered in this phase. Pertinent to mention that in the earlier phase 70 meters of nallah has already been constructed under the tenure of MLA Sat Sharma.
Sat Sharma (CA) said that it is his prime duty to provide a better infrastructure for the residents of Jammu West so that basic facilities could be provided to them at their door steps. He assured that pending works will be taken up in coming time and demands of the public will be met.
Sharma stated that he is committed to work for the improvement of Jammu West in all aspects and he wishes to make it a model Constituency under his tenure. He also stated that numerous drains and lanes will also be upgraded and repaired in the area where there is a dire requirement in order to provide a channelized system of flow of water from houses of locals and further for public commuting, the lanes will also be restored to their normal state so that masses do not suffer.
Ayodhya Gupta, Munish Khajuria, Balwan Singh, Sat Pal Khajuria, Mohit Vaid, Kushant Kumar, Sat Pal Mistri, Balwan Singh, ND Raina, Ravi Mehra, Som Dutt Sharma, Vikram Bajrangi and many others were present on the occasion.
