JAMMU, Sept 27: Sanjay Sharma has been officially elected as president of the Students Union in Government Degree College Akhnoor, elections of which were held today under the supervision of Principal of the college, Dr Anil Gupta and in the presence of Returning Officers.
Harishta Sharma and Sumit Sharma were elected as vice presidents while Anoop Salgotra was elected as general secretary and Ashwani Sharma as treasurer.
Earlier, the college students elected their class representatives. Total 41 class representatives were elected from various classes of different sessions. Sanjay Sharma contested for the post of president and defeated his opponent by a big margin. He got 36 votes out of 41 and was declared elected as the president of the college.
