SAMBA, Aug 5: Rotary District Governor Brajesh Singhal visited Rotary Club Samba Central and installed Colonel Sunil Singh Sambyal (Retd) as President of the Club for the year 2018-19.
The function was attended by dignitaries of Samba, Rotarian members of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi, Jammu Astha, Peoples Forum Samba, Samba Social Club and Lions Club Samba.
The club honoured the girl students of Samba who excelled in their respective field. Evani Mahajan has been honoured for clearing NET, Ridham Sharma and Anishka Sambyal for getting MBBS seat.
Honorary Captain Raj Singh was specially honoured for providing selfless and free physical training to youth of Samba to wean them away from drug abuse and also to prepare them for any recruitment in belt forces.
District Governor also presented Rs 10000 to Anshika for her achievement.
Keeping in consonance with Rotary theme, the Rotary Club presented all the guests with plants as parting gift to be planted in their respective areas.
