Rs 10 lakh theft case solved, burglar arrested

JAMMU, July 8: Gangyal police under Operation Meghdoot solved Rs 10 lakh theft case and arrested a burglar.
As per police sources, on July 6 this year a complaint was lodged by owner of Guru Nanak College of Education Sartaz Singh, son of Harbans Singh of Kunjwani with police station Gangyal stating that some unknown miscreants entered into the office room of the college and decamped with Rs 10 lakh cash.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 46/17 under Sections 454 and 380 RPC was registered at police station Gangyal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a suspect namely Harbans Raj, son of Bua Dita of Gandli Tehsil RS Pura was taken into custody, who confessed that he committed the theft. On his disclosure, the stolen Rs 10 lakh cash has been recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
