JAMMU, Mar 19: Romesh Chander Gupta took over as President of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha during an impressive function here today.
He took charge as President of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha in presence of Yash Pal Gupta, Senior Vice President Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (ABMSS), Sham Lal Langer, Zonal President ABMSS, Vijay Gupta, Coordinator Secretary ABMSS, Ram Langer and Vijay Gupta, Secretaries ABMSS, Zonal Vice President Aditya Gupta, Rajiv K Gupta Treasurer ABMSS, Arun K. Gupta, Press Secretary ABMSS, Chander Mohan Gupta, sitting General Secretary Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha and sitting Chief Patron Amar Nath Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Romesh Chander Gupta expressed his resolve to work for the betterment and upliftment of the Mahajan community and assured to work with zeal and dedication.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Ashok Beotra, Aman Gupta, Yash Paul Gupta and ex- President Nanak Nagar Mahajan Sabha.
Romesh Chander Gupta assumed the charge of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha in pursuance to the order passed by Additional District Judge Jammu Shahzad Azeem, who has set-aside the order of City Judge Jammu whereby unanimous election of Romesh Chander Gupta as president of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha was kept in abeyance.
“Once members of Mahajan Sabha had decided to deal with their affairs in a democratic manner under the provisions of the Constitution, in that event, all the members are duty bound to apply the provisions of Constitution in a manner which would fulfill its aim, object inasmuch as should be compatible to its spirit”, Additional District Judge said, adding “the impugned order passed by the trial court don’t stand the test of law for granting the temporary relief”.
