“The farmers will remain on forefront to stop NHAI and State administration from taking possession of the acquired land till the Government agrees to compensate the farmers on prevailing market price as provided in law and rehabilitate the affected families along the alignment of the Ring Road,” they said and appealed all farmers and families to remain prepared for a struggle for their genuine right.
They claimed that  building road on the fertile land is bound to deprive the farmers from earning their livelihood  and the  State is ought to lose the GDP being contributed by farming community,  the Committee members suggested that rocky land of Kandi belt should have been used for the construction of ring road.
Alleging that the administration was not following the appropriate legal procedure for acquiring the land and addressing their grievances, the affected farmers warned that they would not tolerate the oppressive attitude of the authorities concerned.
The Committee members appealed the Government to sincerely intervene into the matter and provide a genuine solution for settlement and compensation in line with the rest of the country as provided by the Central Act of 2013.
The press conference was addressed by Kulbhushan Khajuria, Sharat Dubey, Om Parkash and others.
