JAMMU, Jan 31: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has announced to hold district level protest demonstrations on February 12 to highlight its issues and demands, particularly the release of pending salary under SSA.
A unanimous decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Forum, held today at Exhibition Ground Jammu, under the chairmanship of State general secretary Najam Jafri and State vice president Younis Rahi. The meeting was attended by the State executive members and the District presidents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jafari showed strong resentment against the Government for its failure to resolve the SSA salary issue which is pending for the last 4-10 months in all the districts of the State. In this regard, ReT Forum had served an ultimatum of one month but till date no process has been initiated to clear the pending salary, he explained.
The meet unanimously decided with the consultation of State president Vinod Sharma to hold protest demonstrations at all the districts headquarters on February 12, during which memorandums of demands would be submitted to the Governor through respective Deputy Commissioners.
