ReT Forum demands resolution of issues

UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: A monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the presidium of State president Vinod Sharma and District president Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the executive members of the Forum from all the eleven zones of the district, who highlighted the issues and demands of ReTs.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma urged the Government to redress the long and genuine issues of the cadre. He said that SSA salary is pending for the last 2 months due to which their families are passing through a tough time and facing hardship to make the both ends meet. He demanded immediate release of the salary and streamlining of the same.
He also demanded the release of arrears of regularized ReTs and    comprehensive transfer policy for the regularized ReTs.  He appealed the Director School Education Jammu to issue regularization orders of ReTs whose files are lying in the Directorate for a long time and these teachers are suffering badly.
While speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar highlighted the issue of release of Mid Day Meals dues for the year 2017-18 besides the previous liability of same. He also appealed the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to grant post facto permission in favour of Regularized ReTs who have applied for the same for a long time so that these teachers may not suffer any more.
Others,  who also spoke on the occasion, included  Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria,  Sandeep Sharma, Ajay  Thakur, Anil Sharma Sushil Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma,  Suresh Sharma,  Vipin Sharma, Pamma  Chand, Vinder Kumar, Ranjit  Singh, Parkash Singh, Jai Parkash, Sham Singh, Ashok Sharma, Man Chand, Mohan Lal  and  Swami Raj.
