JAMMU, Feb 22: Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Jammu Poonch today visited Akhnoor and Chamb Assembly segments along with MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma and MLA Chamb Krishan Lal Bhagat and laid foundation stone for the construction of various roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY).
Jugal along the two MLAs visited village Gopala keliwala,Jogwan and Rah Salyote and laid foundation stone for the construction of roads from village Keliwala to Patrada stretch over is 5.725 kms which costs Rs 2.66 crores and Jogwan to Neeli Nalla having length 18 kms and will constructed with Rs 14.60 crores and Rah Salyote to Salangar stretch over the length of 9.850 kms and costs 8.03 crores approximately under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the gathering said that the Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Center and BJP-PDP Government in State is working on the agenda of development and to develop rural areas is the foremost duty of the Government. The road connectivity plays major role in the development part of the rural areas, he added.
He said the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna is the major scheme funded by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and each and every corner of the rural area will now get road connectivity with this scheme. Moreover he also added that every countryman should play his role to develop his village and country and they should also check the quality of work.
Rajeev Sharma said that Rah Salyote is the part of his Assembly Constituency nearest to the sunder Bani and the people of Village Salangar and adjoining areas get neglected by the previous government in the State. He thanked Member of Parliament for visiting his Constituency and rural part of Akhnoor Constituency will now get connected by his efforts
Krishan Lal Bhagat complimented Jugal for kick starting the construction work of the road as it was the long pending demand of inhabitants. People of village Jogwan, Bardoh, Khada, Kallah and adjacent areas thanked Member of Parliament and MLA for kick starting the work of said road as it will reduce their journey and connects the rural and backward areas.
