Regulate water supply: JKDF

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 10: District president of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) Arun Khanna met AK Gupta, Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and submitted memorandum apprising him about the shortage of drinking water in Jammu and its adjoining areas.
While speaking, Khanna said that instead of focusing on improving the water supply system, the department was bent upon hiking tariff thereby putting an extra burden on the common masses.
The pressure of the water is so slow that it hardly reaches to the consumers and the schedule for supply of water is not followed strictly, he alleged.
“Regulate water supply so that the consumers get sufficient amount of water”, Khanna demanded.
Among others present were Anmol Sethi, SN Tak, Veenu Khanna, Ambedkar Gupta, Happy Sharma, Vivek Raja, Rohit Kerni and Aman Sharma.
