Regularization of incharge Principals demanded

JAMMU, Sept 24: A meeting of Retired Employees Welfare Association was held under the chairmanship S Dalbir Singh its chairman in which grave concern was expressed over the insensitive attitude of the Government in general and Education Department in particular towards the retired principals.
The meeting said that eight years have passed but the Department did not bother to initiate steps to regularize in charge Principals.  This is indicative of inefficiency of the Department, it added.
The meeting said that it appears that the Department is least bothered for the retired principals and hence it is sleeping over the matter for years together.
The meeting termed the depriving of principals from regularization benefits as a grave injustice to them as well as violation of service rules. It said many principals have passed away but their dream of regularization as principals has never been fulfilled due the callousness of the Education Department authorities.
The meeting said failure of Department to resolve the issue of making Principal’s post as non vocational, the way it was non vocational earlier from the date of regularization.
The speakers appealed to the Government to immediately regularize the in-charge Principals. Others who spoke included Hardeep Singh, Dr Subash Chander Sharma, Dr Vidya Sagar, Uttam Kohli, Rajinder Mehra, Butti Ram Raphael.
