Reasi admn to launch massive anti-encroachment drive

REASI, Aug 9: Reasi administration is going to launch a massive drive to retrieve the encroached State land in the district.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner today chaired a meeting of revenue authorities and stressed upon them to fix the timeline for removing all encroachments from State land and complete all pending Jamabandies.
The meeting was attended by ACR Abdul Sattar, SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria, SDM Dharmari Naresh Kumar, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other officials.
The meeting was informed that this year five Jamabandies have been completed in Tehsil Reasi, seven in Bomag, 2 each in Arnas and Thakrakote, while the process is on in Tehsil Pouni, Thuroo, Chasana and Mahore. It was also informed that the Jamabandies of village Thuroo have been pending since 1968-69. The DC took a serious note and issued instructions for engaging expert officials to complete the task at an earliest.
The DC also fixed fresh targets for taking up the work of writing new Jamabandies for all left out villages and asked concerned officers to complete the same on war footing.
It was further stressed upon officers to expedite the preparation of Adhaar cards, Kissan Credit Cards and other requisite documents required by the people for reaping the benefits of welfare schemes.
On the issue of land under the occupation of RDD and other departments, the DC asked the officers to take up the matter with respective authorities to finalize settlement under norms.
The DC also passed instructions to the officers to deliver as per the provisions of Public Service Guarantee Act and provide the services to the people in a time bound manner.
