MOHALI, May 11: The Rayat Bahra University has signed a MoU  with Cardiff Metropolitan University (CMU) in UK to collaborate in flied of academics besides setting up a research centre with CMU in food sector.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Nirmal Singh Rayat, president, Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions and Sandeep Kaura, Joint Managing Director of the RBU Group of Institutions.
Nirmal Singh Rayat said 150 years old Cardiff University is known for its School of Arts & Design, Management and its prestigious Research Centre in Food Technology set up in collaboration with 150 corporate partners.
According to the MoU,  a food research centre will be set up in  collaboration with  CMU  corporate funding. The MOU envisages to explore foreign students from Africa through CMU remote campuses in Keyna, Uganda and Tanzania.
Nirmal Singh Rayat said that the Rayat Bahra University had already signed a MoU with Google India and opened a State-of- the-art Google Centre of Excellence where various undergraduate and postgraduate programs like B Tech Computer Science Engineering in Android Development and MBA in Digital Marketing were being offered.
He said M Sc in Pharmaco vigilance is being started for the first time in India with Pharma Industry collaboration. PG Diploma in Disaster Management in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society and a B Sc (Physician Assistant) and other unique Allied Medical Sciences programs are also being started in 2017.
He said the University is making its students ready for the emerging Fourth Industrial Age. With this vision, the Rayat Bahra University (RBU) had signed pacts with many globally known companies and introduced New Age programs to equip students with global skills and enhance their employment potential completing the new B Tech, MBA and M Sc programs. The international collaborations include those with Fullerton, Thunderbird, Greenville, Pepperdine University, Furman, Clemson, Anderson University and University of South Carolina.
