Ram Navmi Rath Yatra on March 25

JAMMU, Mar 20: In connection with the Ram Navmi function falling on March 25, meeting was convened by the BR Kundal, President, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Jammu, in which office bearers of various Biradaris participated.
Prior to this meeting, a series of meetings held with the office bearers/pujaris of various temples located within Jammu city and also with the office bearers of various market organizations and their full cooperation and involvement was sought in making the Ram Navmi function a grand success.
On the day of Ram Navmi, jhankies led by the Royal Rath will start from historical temple of Shree Raghunath Ji and after passing through various bazaars of Jammu city viz Residency Road, Rajinder Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Panjtirthi, Mubarak Mandi, Moti Bazaar and Raj Tilak Road will return back to Shree Raghunath Ji temple via Pakka Danga, Parade and Raghunath Bazaar.
The Rath Yatra will start at 4:00 pm. from Raghunath Ji Temple. Prior to the commencement of the Rath Yatra, puja-archana of the rath deities will be performed by the trustees of J&K Dharmarth Trust. Dharmik Yuvak Mandal will coordinate with various jhankies and ensure participation of large number of jhankies.
Jammu Heritage Society besides actively participating in the yatra has volunteered to coordinate the distribution of parshad and bhajan sandhya in Shree Raghunath Ji Temple.
On March 26, prashad will be distributed amongst the devotees visiting the Raghunath Ji Temple and in the evening bhajan-sandhya shall be held.
The participants in various meetings desired to depict Dogra traditions during the jhankies and also in their dress code, which was agreed by one and all.
To make the general public aware of the programme, a large number of posters have been printed which will be pasted at all the conspicuous places and general public has been invited for their whole hearted participation both in the yatra to seek blessings of Lord Rama on March 25 and 26 by visiting Shree Raghunath Ji Temple.
