JAMMU, Mar 30: Pradesh Youth Congress organized one day long Manthan Session at Vijaypur Assembly Constituency.
Uma Shankar, National Secretary was the chief guest and Manjeet Singh, general secretary, JKPCC presided over the session. Pranav Shagotra, Vice President, PYC was the special guest on the occasion.
The proceeding of the daylong session was conducted under the leadership of Paramjeet Singh Pamma, AYC president Vijaypur.
The session was conducted to review the functioning of Youth Congress and to chalk out the future course of action.
Speaking on the occasion, Uma Shankar, National Secretary of Youth Congress urged the youth Congress workers to learn and adopt the ideology of Congress party and advised the Youth Congress leaders that they must visit the rural areas and involve themselves with problems and concerns of people of the State.
Uma Shankar asserted that Congress party will stage a comeback whenever next elections are held.
“BJP has woven false dreams and people got trapped in it”, he said and targeted the Narendra Modi Government of copying the schemes and programmes of the UPA dispensation and taking credit for the same.
“Congress is the only force that can keep this State united and can ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the J&K”, he stated.
While addressing the meeting, Manjeet Singh, general secretary JKPCC and former Minister criticized the PDP-BJP Government and described the State budget as an old idiom in new words. He said that BJP-PDP alliance is the result of lust for power.
He assured full support to Youth Congress in all the future initiatives for revival of the party. He said that we are fully prepared to take on BJP in the coming urban local bodies’ elections.
Senior Youth Congress leaders Rajan Sharma and Dr Pankaj Mohan, General Secretaries Lok Shaba, AYC Vice President Chander Shaker and Kamal Kishore were also present on the occasion.
