JAMMU, Dec 2:  Ridiculing Central BJP leadership for adopting double standards on the issue of corruption, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) chief Pranav Shagotra today alleged that no action has been taken against tainted BJP ministers from J&K who have been involved in corruption and illegal transactions of demonetized currency notes worth crores.
Addressing a press conference here today, the PYC president said that the way BJP’s Central leadership has maintained silence  on the corruption and nepotism in J&K,   is an indication that Modi Government’s campaign against corruption is mere slogan and stuff for public consumption.
Mr Shagotra urged upon the Governor NN Vohra to intervene in this matter and direct the State Government to make names of such ministers’ public. “We have no faith either on State Government nor on the Centre,  so we appeal Governor N N Vohra to intervene and save the State from becoming number one in corruption”, Mr Shagotra said and added that media is repeatedly reporting about corruption and other misdeeds of BJP ministers in the ‘Coalition’ but both Centre and State leadership of the so-called honest BJP are shamelessly protecting these ministers.
Cautioning to the State Government against adopting delay tactics in disclosing names of the ministers involved in illegal transaction of the demonetized currency notes and getting a commission worth Rs 13 crore in exchange of giving NOC for illegal constructions in real estate project, PYC president said that youth will come on streets to force the Government to take action against such ministers.
Taking a dig at BJP ministers in the coalition for legalising corruption, PYC chief  said that only achievement of BJP ministers is flourishing transfer industry in the State. He asked Government to come out with lists of officials officers being transferred and posted in the departments of BJP ministers.
PYC president also termed Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh’s statement on Nagrota terror act as outrageous and insult to the martyrs. He said that the Dr Singh is insensitive to the sentiments of the people and the supreme sacrifices of our officers and jawans who laid down their lives while repulsing one of the deadliest attacks in which two senior Army officers and five others army men have been martyred so far.
PYC  general secretary Rajvir Singh, secretaries Balbir Singh & Rajan Sharma  and PYC spokesperson Chetan Wanchoo were also present.
