Politicians giving hollow slogans on migrants return: AMCCC

JAMMU, Mar 11: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan its president said that the political leaders have been exploiting the displaced Pandits by raising hollow slogans that Kashmir was incomplete without them as no political party right from NC to BJP including Congress and PDP took any initiative for the return and rehabilitation of the community to Valley during last 28 years.
In a statement the AMCCC chief while commenting the statement of NC president and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah in this regard, said that NC which ruled the State twice once independently and second time in coalition with Congress failed to take any concrete step for return and rehabilitation of Pandits to Valley. By shedding the crocodile tears these parties befool the people only, he added.
The meeting, which was attended by Executive members of AMCCC demanded a probe into alleged nexus between Bolly wood and Government for exploiting and insulting the Kashmiri Pandits leading and exiled life due to follies of successive governments at Centre and the State.
The meeting appealed the community to remain away from such movies as this can harm the interests of the community. The meeting said AMCCC has from the day one opposed such movies and made it clear that the double standards of the Union and State governments are responsible for the plight of the displaced Pandits.
