JAMMU, Feb 22: Members of the civil society, under the banner of Public Opinion Forum (POF) today paid homage to the martyrs of Sunjwan counter terrorist operation at Balidan Stambh, here this evening.
The gathering of prominent citizens light candles and observed silence to pray to the Almighty God to rest the brave soldiers in peace and grant strength to their families to bear the irreparable loss.
The members of the civil society also visited different galleries of the Balidan Stambh complex and went through the stories on the wall about brave soldiers of the country.
Chairman of the POF, Praveen Sharma, senior member, Prof Varinder Gupta and senior Journalist, Sant Kumar Sharma spoke to the gathering asking them to remain united to fight the within and outside the enemy.
Prominent among those present, were Col J P Singh, Dr Sat Dev Gupta, Prof Vijay Sharma, Chander Uday Sharma, Devinder Singh Jamwal, Nathu Ram Gupta, Rahul Sharma, Parveen Choudhary, Ravi Kant, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Varinder Singh Jamwal and others.
