Plus 2 Officers body demands promotions, regularisation

JAMMU, Jan 15: All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association has urged upon the higher authorities in the School Education department to issue necessary orders for the promotions and regularizations of the Lecturers, Principals, CEOs and equivalent position, as many posts were lying vacant in the department.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Dr PP Raina (president), the members expressed serious concern over the posts of various cadre lying vacant in the department. They said even the posts of CEOs and Joint Directors and equivalent are lying vacant since long and the concerned authorities are least bothered about the matter. Moreover, even after Cabinet decision and also SAC nod, the department has not issued regularization list of any cadre.
They urged upon the Governor and the concerned Advisor to resolve the issues. They said there is stagnation at various levels and the officers are being deprived of their legitimate right.
The other issues with regard to Assured Career Progression for Plus 2 lecturers, enhancement of quota to 50 % for senior Lecturers to become College Professors and sanctioning of higher start to the M.Phil and PhD degree holders were also projected during the meeting.
Senior members Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Narinder Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Kapil Banotra, Zakir Mohd and Prem Pal Verma also spoke on the occasion.
