SRINAGAR, Feb 10: The inhabitants of Khar Bagh Butwani held a protest demonstration against the power failure in the area due to damage of local transformer over 10 days back.
The protest was led by Peoples Welfare Society district president Ganderbal, Abdul Razak Dar. The protesters demanded immediate installation of transformer and also criticized the authorities for not paying a heed to their problem. They said there is a complete blackout in the area and people face hardships in this cold Winter as they are facing complete blackout. Moreover the kerosene oil is also not available in the market they added.
The Society has sought immediate intervention of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh in the matter and appealed him to issue directives to concerned officers to install transformer without any further delay.
