BISHNAH, May 24: A PDP workers meet of zone Bishnah was convened here today by F C Bhagat, District president PDP, (Rural), under the chairmanship of Sardar Rangeel Singh, vice president PDP and Mehboob Iqbal, general secretary of the party.
The objective of the meeting was to interact with the grass root workers of the party and listen to their grievances in order to get the same redressed from the competent authority. In the meeting, the workers generally highlighted the problems of unscheduled power cuts and demanded enhancement of capacity of the transformers according to the load and also installation of new transformers.
The problems being faced by the farmers regarding the insufficient paddy-seeds, clearance of water channels and availability of sufficient water for irrigation purpose were also discussed. Besides many other problems, like dilapidated condition of the roads and lack of health infrastructure, were also discussed in the meeting.
F C Bhagat stated that a detailed road map of the Bishnah constituency regarding roads, power, health, education, irrigation & other related infrastructure has been prepared and being putforth before the concerned authority through PDP high command at the division level for its disposal in a phased manner.
Mehboob Iqbal stressed for strengthening the organizational setup of the party and stated that other frontal organizations like SC/OBC/St/Ex-servicemen, youth & lady wings will be made functional very shortly.
Sardar Rangeel Singh assured that problems of party workers will definitely be looked into.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included T S Bajwa, Ved Mahajan, Vijay Dogra, Dr Kamal Saini, Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa, S P Charak, Yashpal Bhagat, Chatter Saini, R S Manhas and Madan Chalotra.
