JAMMU: Hours after BSF foiled an infiltration bid on international border, Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control in Nowshera Sector of Rajouri district.
”At around 1750 hrs, Pakistan violated ceasefire agreement, which stopped at around 1820 hrs in the area of 19th Punjab at Taroi Nallaha (Kalal),” police sources here said. They said that Pakistan fired Light Machine Guns and 3-4 mortar shells, which was effectively retaliated in a similar calibre.
Police, however, said that locals of the area reported to police about the CFV, while no loss of life or property was reported in the exchange of fire.
Army, meanwhile, remained tight-lipped on Ceasefire Violation agreement on the LoC. (UNI)
