One killed, two injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, June 11: One person was killed while two others were injured in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a load carrier bearing a temporary registration number rammed into a hillock along the road at Bantalab (Nagrota), late last night. He said that in the mishap, driver of the vehicle identified as Parvez Ahmed of Mahore killed on the spot.
“The dead body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where after completing all medico-legal formalities it was today handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, a youth and his mother was injured today when the scooty on which they were travelling, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The injured identified as Sunny (32) son of late Arjun Singh, resident of Gandhi Nagar and his mother namely Maya Devi, were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
