JAMMU, July 30: One person was killed and a BSF Jawan got injured in two separate incidents across Jammu region.
“A truck on way from Punjab to Srinagar this morning met with an accident near Chamalwas in Banihal area of Ramban district,” police sources said here.
They said that the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into 300-feet deep gorge resulting into the death of Ranjeet Singh, 45, son of Parkash Singh, resident of Dashnash Nagar, Ludhiana.
Meanwhile a BSF Jawan got injured when an official truck this morning fell into a gorge as the driver failed to take a turn at a sharp curve due to fog. The injured Jawan has been rushed to the hospital, police said.
