DODA, Aug 8: Police today arrested a bootlegger from Gundana area and seized illicit liquor from his possession.
“On specific information, a team from police station Doda conducted a raid in Gundana area and found a man namely Suresh Kumar son of Hari Ram of Garether, Gundana, Doda, selling illicit liquor. On search of his belongings, police found 31 pouches (250 ml each) of illicit liquor from his possession, which were seized on the spot”, a police spokesman said.
He said that a case FIR No 168/2017 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started. The arrest and recovery was made by a police team led by Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SHO, police station Doda, under the supervision of Deputy SP Hqrs, Doda, Iftkhar Ahmed and Vinay Kumar, ASP Doda, on the directions of SSP Doda, Mohammad Shabir
