DODA, July 11: Old man was killed, when the vehicle he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Mohallah Bhata, here today.
As per reports, an Alto K10 car bearing registration number JK06A-2531, was on its way from village Jodhpur to Doda, when the driver lost control over it and the vehicle rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge near Mohallah Bhata, 15 kilometers from Doda town.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals shifted the injured person to District Hospital Doda, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Khushi Ram Rukwal (62), son of Nand Ram, a resident of Village Jodhpur District Doda.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 112/18 under Section 279 and 304-A RPC has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
