NYC Association serves 10-day ultimatum to Govt

JAMMU, Jan 27: All J&K National Youth Corps (NYC) Volunteers Association warned to launch indefinite hunger strike if the Government failed to redress their demands within 10-day.
This was disclosed by State president NYC Association Muddasir Hassan during a press conference here today. Vice president Asif Ali Bhat was also present.
“For the past two years we moved from pillar to post to get our demands resolved but all in vain as the Government is not paying any heed towards our demands”, he added.
He said that the Government is not serious about the future of 8000 youth of the State.
He added that NYCs were engaged with different Government Departments and have rendered 2 years service and now the Government is implementing use and throw policy, which is not bearable at all.
Hassan further stated that the criminal silence of the Government on this issue will surely put the future of the NYC’s in dark.
He demanded regularization of their services as they have experience of rural development, urban development, social welfare, education, tourism, etc.
He requested the Government to devise a plan to regularize their services in various departments, where they have gained experience.
“If the Government failed to do the needful in this regard, we will start indefinite hunger strike”, he warned.
