JAMMU, Aug 1: National Student Union of India (NSUI) has demanded cleansing of hostels at Jammu University.
Addressing a press conference, NSUI national delegate Choudhary Naseeb Ali said that the rainy season is a pro-disease season and JU’s Health Department is least bothered about it.
“Stagnant water is an open invitation to dreadful diseases like malaria and dengue. This year cropping of grass and spray of insecticides have not been done outside and inside the hostels which depicts the lethargic approach of JU’s Health Department”, he added.
Kaamal Mangotra, State general secretary NSUI said that despite requests to JU’s Health Department various times nothing has done. Cleansing work of hostels shall be done on war footing, he demanded.
Among others present were Ajay Kumar, Nitin Bakshi, Manav, Anshu, Gautam, etc.
