NSSH organizing one day conclave on Jan 10: Manyal

SAMBA, Jan 8: To bring together Central Public Service Enterprises (CPSEs), National Schedule Caste Schedule Tribe Hub (NSSH) is organizing a regional conclave in Jammu region on January 10.The conclave will be held at Hotel 17 Miles at Vijaypur in Samba district.
This was disclosed by MLA Samba, Dr D K Manyal at a press conference at Vijaypur today, along with A K Verma, DGM, National Small Industrial Corporation Ltd and its Deputy Manager incharge Jammu and Jalandhar region, Kunal Kapoor.
Manyal said NSSH an initiative of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Government of India is a Central Sector scheme which was launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi with an objective to create a supportive ecosystem for SC/ST Entrepreneurs by assisting them in capacity building and thereby enabling them to  effectively participate in public procurement process.
He said scheme is originally linked to public procurement policy , 2012 of the Government of India which states that 20 percent of total procurement of goods and services by Central Ministries, departments and CPSEs shall be made from MSEs and 20 percent of such procurement (4 percent of total) from MSEs shall be made from SC&ST owned MSEs.
The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) a Mini Ratna CPSEs under the Ministry of MSME is the implementing agency for the scheme of NSSH, Manyal added.
He said to realize the objective of NSSH it is imperative to develop cognizance with all the stake holders on implementation of public procurement policy. The conclave is being held in the Jammu region to bring together CPSEs, Industry Associations and State Government on a common platform and deliberate upon the steps to be taken to fulfill the public procurement policy mandate for SC, ST Entrepreneurs, he added.
He said the BJP Prabhari for J&K and Vice Chairman Indian Red Cross, Avinash Rai Khanna will chair the conclave which will be attended by Minister of Industries and Commerce Chan-der Parkash Ganga, Minister of Food, Civil Supplies,  Consumer Affairs, & Tribal Affairs, Ch Zulfkar Ali, Vice Chairman, J&K, SC,ST and BC Development Corporation Board, Balbir Ram Rattan, and Shailendra Kumar, Secretary of Industries and Commerce GoI.
Manyal said the Ministry of MSME , through National SC-ST Hub , is continuously thriving to achieve its objective and in order to accomplish desired goals it has taken up multiple initiatives.
