JAMMU, Oct 1: Peeved over the unplanned digging of roads outside Jammu University gates by telecom companies, creating hardships for students, scholars and staff, National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest demonstration against Public Works Department (PWD) and Road and Buildings (R&B) Minister Abdul Majeed Wani.
Around two dozen NSF activists assembled in front of Jammu University gate and started protest demonstration amid raising slogans against concerned Minister and telecom companies for inadvertent digging of roads. They also burnt the effigy of the Public Works Department (PWD) and Road and Buildings (R&B) Minister Abdul Majeed Wani.
Addressing media persons, NSF president Sukhdev Singh said that the varsity road was dug up by the telecom companies a month back but surprisingly nobody cared about repairs of the same which has added to the problems of students and staff.
