NPSU seeks postponement of exams

JAMMU, Oct 21: A delegation of NPSU today called on Controller of Examination, Jammu University and submitted him a memorandum seeking extension in scheduled holding of UG 3rd semester exams.
NPSU president, Thakur Virender Singh told the Controller that exams for the UG semester 3rd are being held much earlier this year than normal routine and students were facing it hard to prepare fully for the exams. “As the regular class work started from August 28 and the students got only 2 months for studies, it is not possible for them appear in the exams, which are commencing from November 15, he explained and added that many students of 3rd semester also have to appear for the UG 1st semester reappear examinations, which are also being held in November.
Mr. Singh appealed the University to extend the date sheet so that students may get proper time to prepare for examination.
In response COEJU assured the students that he would look into the matter and take the necessary steps so that studies may not suffer.
