Notorious criminal Radhey arrested from Kanachak

JAMMU, May 6:  Police today achieved a major success when it arrested a notorious criminal of Bakra gang and absconder Tilak Raj alias Radhey from one of his hideouts in the City outskirts of Jammu.
SDPO Domana Sandeep Mehta said Radhey S/O Hans Raj Sharma R/O Kangrail is involved in a number of criminal cases which includes a kidnapping case of son of leading trader namely Abhimaniyu Barry in 1999 from Bahu Plaza area and in a murder of Raju Choudhary of village Dheyaran in 2006.
He remained in jail for 11 months when he was released on parole by the court on Health grounds in the month of September 2007. But he continued with his malicious practices and jumped the parole days before he had to again go to jail.
Till then he was absconding and was untraceable, Mr Mehta said.
Following fresh directions from IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar, special teams were constituted to nab these kind of habitual criminals and absconders.
Police today succeeded in apprehending him from Purkhoo under the jurisdiction of Kanachak police station. Some documents have been recovered from his possession.
