Nothing common between BJP-PDP except power: Mir

Jammu, Mar 26: The PCC president GA Mir has exhorted upon the   youth of the party to expose the unholy alliance of BJP-PDP in the State as both the partys’ have nothing common except to share power.
While addressing a day long session of the Pradesh Youth Congress delegates at Gujjar Nagar Charitable Trust, PCC chief said that the present dispensation is the  combination of the forces which are ideologically poles apart and secured mandate to keep each-other away from power. They promised the people of their respective constituencies to check the rise of these  forces, as being opposed to the interest of people. Surprisingly they surrendered the respective ideologies and issues of people to join hands for the sake of power, which exposed their politics of ” opportunism” .
Mr Mir said that both parties are trying to keep the electorate of their respective constituencies engaged in other emotional issues in order to divert the attention of the people from the real issue of their “opportunistic U-Turn”. However the people are wise enough to understand their intentions and realize that they stand exploited during elections.
Lashing out at the BJP for exploited people not only the Jammu region but the entire country over the issue of Article 370 for the last 67 years, claiming to be following the agenda of  Shyama Prasad Mukherjee besides their stated positions on the issues of refugees and border people, Mir said they have nothing to explain or justify to the people their present position and  are hiding themselves under the garb of issuing statements on other issues to divert public attention.
Emphasizing on the role of youth in the organization, the PCC chief  said his series  on interactions with different frontal organizations of the party, especially Youth Congress and Seva Dal during two consecutive days have proved that there is lot of talent and potential available with the party to be channelized for  further strengthening the organization at grass root levels. He described the frontal organizations as the backbone of the party and exhorted them to work with sincerity and dedication.
Earlier, leader of CLP  Nawang Rigzin Jora appreciated the efforts of the PCC and frontal organizations Youth Congress and Seva Dal for organizing the  interactive sessions to ensure better co-ordination in the party. He asked the youth to take upon the responsibility to play the role of a  vibrant opposition in the State and expose the unholy and opportunistic alliance of BJP-PDP.
Pradesh Youth Congress president  Shah Nawaz Choudhary and All India Youth Congress, Secretary in-charge J&K  Uma Shanker Pandey also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier,  PYC team felicitated the new PCC chief  and Mr Jora. A memento was presented to Ravinder Sharma-MLC on the occasion. Prominent among others present on the occasion included Dr Rashid Choudhary,  Pranab Shagotra, Udhey Chib, Neeraj Kundan, Manjit Singh Jatt, Abid Kashmiri, Satish Sharma, Pankaj Basotra and others.
