SRINAGAR, July 23: A deputation from Nobra Assembly constituency of Ladakh district comprising Sarpanchs, Panchs and local leaders led by Legislator, Tsetan Namgyal this afternoon called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here.
The deputation presented a memorandum of demands pertaining to the development of Nobra constituency. The demands included special package in terms of funds for Nobra constituency, sanctioning of electric sub-stations at Disket and Panamic blocks, creation of PHE sub-division at Sumoor and MAC at Thang, Chulungkha, Kuri, Pinchimic and Taksha villages, separate division for irrigation and flood control at Sumoor, Nobra, construction of motorable bridge over river Shayok at Chesgeon and protection bunds at Disket Nallah and Tingang Nallah.
The deputation also requested for allotment of CD Block and Niabat for Pogdang area, CD Block for Samoor and Niabats for Tanyar, Tigger and Terchay.
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and said that the genuine demands will be given due consideration.
The deputation also invited the Chief Minister for visiting Nobra.
