NMC for early release of Centre’s financial package

JAMMU, Dec 8: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged Centre’s special envoy on Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma, to immediately submit an interim report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding release of Rs 11000 crore financial package to meet the expenses of implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission in J&K and regularization of about 61000 daily rated workers.
“Nearly eight lakh families are part and parcel of this important population segment, which form one of the most dynamic electoral constituency in the State, therefore the need of the hour is to get the package released before December 31 so that the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission start reaching to salaried class and pensioners from April 1, 2018”, Subhash Shastri, NMC president, said while addressing the workers at Secretary Park in Gandhi Nagar.
He further said that the State Government has already made commitments regarding resolution of these vital issues confronting the working class in the State. He appealed the Finance Department to immediately start the process to meet the aspirations of working class so as to start the regularization policy from January 1, 2018.
