JAMMU, Dec 12: A three member delegation of All J&K NHM Employees Association called on Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta at Jammu and briefed him about the long pending demands of NHM employees, working in the State.
The delegation, comprising of Dr Soni Singh Sambyal, Faizan Ali Tramboo and Mohit Seth, highlighted the issue of regularization of all NHM employees, including Doctors, Paramedics and Management Staff, who were engaged by the State Government.
The Association submitted a  chartered of the demands to the Speaker, demanding  regularization of all NHM employees on the pattern of ReT Teachers, enhancement of salaries at par with others States for NHM employees on yearly basis at 10 percent as per NHM guidelines, immediate release of rural incentives for paramedics staff of NHM under different categories, job security to all NHM employees, general Insurance to all employees working under NHM, maternity leave benefit for female staff at par with regular staff along with release of their salary during the maternity leave period, timely salary, bringing all the NHM employees under the ambit of new recruitment policy, equal pay for equal work, social security benefit, provident fund benefit and fixed salary for ASHAs.
The Speaker gave a patient hearing to the demands and assured them that he would take up this matter with concerned ministry and Government for taking appropriate steps on this sensitive issue.
Meanwhile, the NHM deputation also called on former Minister Harshdev Singh and submitted him a memorandum.  Harshdev Singh also assured the deputation that he would highlight their issues at State as well as national level.
