JAMMU, Nov 22: Large number of National Conference (NC) activists, led by Surinder Singh Bunty, party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, converged at Belicharana today to interact with the locals and highlight the programmes and policies of the party.
While addressing a public meeting in the vicinity, Mr Bunty said that NC is the only political party in the State which is being steered by a young and dynamic leader who has the vision to envisage future course of J&K youth and potential to ensure their bright prospects.
Seeking support from people of the  constituency, Bunty said that creating skill based and job oriented educational edifice, and sustainable employment avenues for local youth will be his priority besides focusing on problems of aged, widows and destitute. Making clear that he has no magic wand in his hands, Bunty said that unlike those who are boasting of unimaginable development in the constituency, he will adopt a realistic approach of step by step mitigation of problems with a steady pace of progress.
Locals apprised him of their problems and demanded compensation on account of losses incurred due to recent flash floods. Giving a patient hearing to residents’ woes, Bunty assured that he will highlight the matter of flood relief at concerned platforms and shall endeavour to facilitate early release of compensation.
