Nanda launches civic works in Reasi

REASI, Nov 29: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today laid the foundation stone for construction of lanes and drains in town.
To be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.15 lakh under district plan scheme, the civic works would benefit the people of Ward No-1, Nai Basti. Two major lanes and drains works have already been completed in the town this year.
Later, the Minister visited village Sool where he dedicated 63 KVA power sub-station to the locals completed at a cost of Rs 4.50 lakh and provided by him out of his CDF account.
The Minister while addressing the public said that various other development works including augmentation of public utilities, renovation of lanes and drains would be taken up in   Reasi and Katra towns to facilitate local people and tourists.
The Minister passed instructions to the executing agency for time bound completion of all development works in the Municipal limits.
About the augmentation of power supply in the Reasi constituency, the Minister said that funds for creating 26 power sub-stations have been sanctioned and out of which 21 have been completed   this year so far. He asked the Power Development Department to expedite the installation of the transformers at all the identified    locations.
