MPDA urges PDD to improve power supply system in Transport Nagar

JAMMU, Jan 16: Motor Parts Dealers’ Association (MPDA), Transport Nagar, Narwal, Jammu today appealed the higher authorities of Power Development Department (PDD) to improve power infrastructure in Transport Nagar.
In a meeting held today under the chairmanship of Association president, Rajinder P Kakkar, the members of MPDA said power supply system of PDD particularly in the yard Number one, two, three, four and five is in deplorable condition.
“There is need of many electric poles, supply lines, meters in the absence of which on every alternative day, the supply of power is affected in these areas,” they said adding, when they approached the concerned authorities, they were told that due to shortage of funds and material the Sub-Division is helpless.
They demanded the Government and higher authorities of PDD to release the funds and material to the concerned sub division for updating power supply system in the area and avoid further loss of Government revenue.
The meeting was attached by large gathering of MPDA members including S S Bhau, M P Singh, Pardeep Sharma and Balbir Singh.
