Mount Literal Zee School celebrates Annual Sports Meet

kathua, Jan 1: Mount Literal Zee School celebrated its annual Sports Meet with zeal and zest in the School premises, here today.
The students enthusiastically participated in the event. Romesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua graced the occasion as a chief guest, while Aruna Sharma (DEPO) and Subash Chander Bharadwaj were the guests of honour.
The day began by hoisting the school flag which was followed by a synchronized and well coordinated March Past that saw cadets from all the four Houses of the school.
Shivalika Sharma, Sports Captain carried the torch and later the Principal Mili R Sumbria declared the Meet open.
The Ground resonated with the soulful rendition of the school song and thereafter the track events thrilled everyone.
The most awaited events were the 400 Meters, Relay races, Balloons games, Tug of War Gymnastic, Aerobics followed by the cultural show of Bhangra.
Save Girl Child, Save Environment and National Integration was part of programme.
The Principal in his address reiterated the importance of games and Sports in students’ life. He stressed that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, so students must strive to be physically fit.
Speaking on the occasion, Romesh Kumar appreciated and applauded the efforts of the school and its Management for organizing mega event in a disciplined and descent manner.
Khalil Poswal, Additional SP, Kathua distributed the prizes among the winners of sports Meet and felicitated the parents also who participated in day long Annual Sports Meet.
The coaches of event were Bindu Punia, Ajit Kumar and Poonam Sharma, while prominent among other guests who graced the occasion were Anu Dogra and Dr Yoginder Nath.
