JAMMU, May 4: Two motorcyclists were nabbed along with charas from Bantalab area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nagrota police station intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AV-0586 on way from Batote to Jammu at Bantalab.
During checking, police team recovered 370 grams charas and arrested two persons.
The accused have been identified as Ahatsham (35), son of Mohammad Anwar of Ramzanpura, Janipur and Sonu Khajuria (30), son of Romesh Kumar of Janipur Colony.
A case under FIR number 86/15 under Section 8/20 Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota police station Vinod Kundal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota DySP Bharat Bhushan Sharma and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
