MLA Bani conducts public grievances redressal camp

KATHUA, Feb 23: In order to take stock of problems and demands of the people M.L.A Bani, Jeewan Lal convened a public grievance redressal camp at Billawar.
SDM Badnota Rajesh Basotra, and other Tehsil level officers were present on the occasion.
People from various villages put forth their demands and grievances before the M.L.A which were mainly related to provision of drinking water, road connectivity, replacement of old water supply pipes and electric poles for strengthening the existing infra of PHE & PDD. The villagers also put forth their problem related to widow pension and old age pension.
MLA Jeewan Lal gave a patient hearing to the people during the camp and directed officers of the concerned department to look into the matters and take immediate action. He also instructed A.E.E PWD to early clearance of  Katli-Malhar and Katli-Deri Galla roads. He called upon the people to remain united and play their decisive part in nation building.
He said with the active support of people the institutions of governance at ground level are being strengthened. He further said that every resident has vital duty to take up the concerns of the society at appropriate forums. He exhorted upon the people to come forward to reap the benefits of schemes especially designed to meet the aspirations of the people. He appealed the educated unemployed youth to avail the benefits of various schemes initiated by both Central and State governments to establish income and employment generating units.
M.L.A Bani inspected ongoing works under MG NREGA, CDF, and 14FC. He urged both B.D.Os to conduct Gram Sabha in every village and ensure that people of every village should attend the Gram Sabha. Lal informed officers of Rural Department that such exercise provides easy access to every common man of Bani-Malhar Constituency to the administration at their step to full fill commitment of the coalition Government.
He asked officers for ensuring their punctuality and availability in their respective offices during office hours and also for ensure transparent and corruption free governance to the public in general and persons from weaker section, downtrodden in particular.
