Srinagar, Jan 27: A policeman, who was missing from the last week, was today found dead in Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said Abdul Rashid Hakeem son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Malpora Sheeri who was posted as Guard Commander at a minority picket at Veervan Pandit Colony Baramulla was reported missing on January 20 this month from the guard room.
“The body of the Head Constable was found from an open field at Khadiniyar. Police has taken the body under custody and proceedings under section 174 CrPC were initiated to ascertain the cause of the death,” the spokesman said.
