JAMMU, Jan 27: Youngs India, a social organization, has once again demanded the State Government to constitute State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) in the best interests of children of the State.
The chairman of the organization, Vivek Raina, urged the Government to submit the bill in this regard before the State cabinet and get it passed in the coming Assembly Session.
It is very important to have such commission functional in the State, which would ensure that rights of every child is protected, as Government should never forget that the children are the future asset of the nation and State, Raina argued.
He further advocated for proper allocation of funds for child needs in the coming Budget Session.
In his communication to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, the social activist requested to personally intervene into the matter and help formation of SCPCR for the best interests of children.
