JAMMU, Feb 27: A minor girl was kidnapped and raped by a youth in an area falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, a minor girl hailing from Sheikh Nagar, Bahu Fort was kidnapped and raped by a youth identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Munshi Ram, a resident of Bazigar Basti, Bahu Fort.
The accused threatened the girl of dire consequences, if she revealed the ordeal to anyone.
However, the girl mustered courage and narrated the ordeal to her mother, who lodged a complaint with police station Bagh-e-Bahu.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 21/17 under Section 363 and 376 RPC has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
