JAMMU, Dec 5: Bahu Fort police rescued a minor girl and arrested the alleged kidnapper from Shopian district.
“The girl’s family lodged a complaint with Bahu Fort Police Station about their daughter being abducted by Shifayat Hussain of district Rajouri on Sunday”, a police official said.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
The girl was rescued after the police raided a place in Shopian district and arrested the alleged kidnapper, he added.
The girl was handed over to the family, while further investigation into the case is going on.
