RAJOURI, June 10: A minor boy was killed while another injured in a house collapse in Kalakote area of district Rajouri today.
The deceased has been identified as Vinay Singh (14), son of Sunder Singh of Kurlian. He was buried alive under the debris.
SHO Kalakote, Insp Mushtaj Ahmed said that the tragedy took place at village Kurlian in Kalakote. Kucha house of one Babu Ram suddenly collapsed during early hours today. There was rain in the area. Babu Ram’s son, Vijay Singh (16), was injured in the mishap and he was referred to District Hospital, Rajouri from Kalakote.
On the directions of DC, Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Additional DC Kalakote, Khalid Hussain visited the spot and handed over the relief assistance of Rupees one lakh to the family. He also sanctioned the case for reconstruction of the house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna.
