JAMMU, Dec 6: Sajad Gani Lone, Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
Lone discussed with Governor about various important initiatives taken by the departments and agencies under his charge and the current implementation status of the various State and Central schemes in the entire social welfare sector.
Governor and Minister discussed the major problems which face the entire disability sector and the varied serious difficulties faced by women, children, pensioners and senior citizens.
Mian Altaf Ahmad, Member Legislative Assembly from Kangan also called on Governor.
Governor and Mian Altaf held extensive discussions regarding the obtaining challenges facing the State and the various major developmental issues which require high priority attention, particularly road connectivity and power generation.
Governor appreciated Mian Altaf’s concerns, and urged him to continue sustained efforts for promoting harmony and people’s welfare in his area.
